Gary S. Logsdon is a native of Central Kentucky; a graduate of Western Kentucky University, summa cum laude, Class of 1970; the University of Kentucky College of Law, Class of 1973; Preparatory Education includes graduation from the Defense Language Institute West Coast Branch at Monterey, California (1965) (German); The Goethe Institute, (Advanced Studies, German Language and Culture) West Berlin, FDR (1968); as well as several Military Intelligence Schools and Courses. Military Service from September, 1964 – September, 1968, Honorably discharged with the rank of Intelligence Specialist (E-6). Awarded among other Service Medals the Army Commendation Medal, for Meritorious Achievement for actions of the night of February 19, 1966.
Gary served while attending Law School as the full time Director of Youth Opportunity Programs for the Commonwealth of Kentucky traveling and meeting youth from all regions of Kentucky. Gary continues his interest in developing opportunity for young people by encouraging youth activities and involvement in community and statewide projects.
During his free time, Gary enjoys the company of his wife, seven children, and four grandchildren. He is a life-long student of history and lover of literature and philosophy. When it comes to sports, Gary is as big a baseball fan as you will ever meet.
