Intersection Crash Kills Elderly Man

Two drivers collided in an intersection outside Louisville, and only one of them survived the vehicle crash. Witnesses and authorities state that the wreck occurred at Highway 146 and Spring House Pike in LaGrange. The 75 year-old was eastbound on 146 and collided with a driver of a Dodge Ram pickup; the driver's name was not released. While the Ram driver was treated at the scene and released, the 75 year-old was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition, where he died shortly after arrival. Car Crash Kills Boyle County Teen

A 16 year old was a passenger in a single-car accident just east of Danville; and the unnamed victim, who was partially ejected from the vehicle, died at the scene.

The unnamed victim, and three other juveniles whose names were not released, were in a 2003 Chevrolet Impala when the teenage driver apparently lost control of the car. The vehicle slid off the road and slammed into a concrete bridge. According to investigators, the driver did not have a license and none of the occupants were wearing seatbelts. Investigators also believe that the driver may have been alcohol impaired, but no arrests were made.

Deadly Crash Triggers Homicide Charges

Following a single car accident that killed a 16-year-old girl, an 18-year-old woman faces intoxication manslaughter charges.

Marshall County Sheriff’s deputies who responded to the crash scene at Sayler Creek Road and Griggstown Road determined that the driver from Paducah, was intoxicated when she was traveling at a high rate of speed and apparently lost control of her vehicle. Her passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials originally charged the driver with murder, but subsequently downgraded the charges to second degree manslaughter.

Serious Car Wreck Kills One, Injures Two

An errant bicyclist triggered a two-car automobile collision that caused serious injuries to at least three people. Although all the victims were from Kentucky, the wreck occurred in Bloomington, Indiana. Witnesses and police state that a bicyclist, whose name was not release, fell over while trying to cross State Road 37. Distracted Driving Crash Seriously Injures Two

Although a woman insisted that she only “momentarily” looked at her cell phone, that was enough time for her car to drift over the center line and cause a vehicle wreck.

The crash happened in Graves County, near the intersection of State Route 464 and Willie Trail. According to sheriff’s deputies, the 22 year-old driver, used her cell phone as she was eastbound on 464. While she was distracted, her vehicle crossed over to the westbound side, where it collided with the 56-year-old other driver. Both parties were airlifted to an Evansville hospital with serious injuries.

Doctors expect both vehicle wreck victims to survive.

Deadly Rear-End Crash Raises Liability Questions

One person is dead after a commercial truck swerved into another lane of traffic and caused a traffic collision.

According to witnesses and authorities, a 2010 International Box Truck was southbound on Interstate 75 between Houston and Turfway roads in Boone County when the truck experienced mechanical issues. The driver suddenly swerved over to the right, crossing directly into the path of an oncoming work truck. The driver of the second vehicle — 50-year-old victim from Union — was declared dead at the scene.

Police do not expect to file charges.

Fatal SMIDSY Crash In Allen County

A moped rider is dead after a vehicle operator turned into his lane, causing the fatal motorcycle wreck.

The crash happened near the intersection of U.S. 231 and Dry Ridge Road in Scottsville. According to police, 26-year-old driver moved from the left lane of U.S. 231 into the right lane, and in so doing, rear-ended a 32-year-old driver, who was riding a moped. The force of the motorcycle wreck threw the driver off the bike, and he was later declared dead at a Nashville hospital.

California Restricts Roundup Sales

Now, retailers in the Golden State cannot sell Monsanto’s popular weed killer without warning future buyers that this potentially dangerous product may cause cancer.

In January 2017, Superior Court Judge Kristi Culver Kapetan heard arguments from both sides regarding glyphosate, an odorless and colorless substance that is Roundup’s main ingredient. The prestigious International Agency for Research on Cancer recently added glyphostate to a list of cancer-causing chemicals, prompting state officials to order a warning label. Monsanto insists that the chemical is safe, pointing to a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency finding that glyphostate is a “low toxicity” chemical; however, the EPA does advise people to stay away from fields sprayed with Roundup for at least twelve hours.

Roundup is sold in more than 160 countries and used on over 250 varieties of crops and grasses.

Big Trouble In Little Bowling Green

A man faces probable civil and criminal liability after he fled the scene of a fatal alcohol-involved car crash.

Witnesses say the wreck occurred near North Gate Shopping Center on Louisville Road. The driver apparently ignored a red light and slammed into another vehicle, who had the green light as she pulled out of the shopping center’s parking lot; she was later pronounced dead at the scene. The driver then left his vehicle, looked inside the victim’s car, and then ran away on foot. He was apprehended a short distance away.

The driver told first responders that he had been drinking.
